Ponds of Sycamore opens 3 new models

The Ponds of Sycamore, a single-family home community near downtown Sycamore, recently debuted three new models.

Single-family homes in this Wiseman-Hughes Enterprises community feature basements, two to three-car garages and pond views. Prices range from $196,900 to $241,900.

Most two-story homes will feature upstairs laundry rooms, and first floor mud/craft rooms. Four-season rooms and bonus rooms are popular options.

This new community is near Reston Ponds. Together they feature a gazebo, water fountain, landscaped stone entrance monuments, six ponds, a bicycle/walking trail and 15 acres of park sites.

The Ponds of Sycamore will include seven ranch and two-story designs, from 1,534 to 2,229 square feet, with three to five bedrooms, and two to 2½ baths.

The Swallow, with a base price of $196,900, is a ranch home with a square footage range of 1,534 to 1,655. Exterior features include a covered entrance and gabled roofline with several available variations.

With three bedrooms, two full baths, a great room, kitchen, formal dining room, two-car garage and partial basement, this home could fit the needs of a couple just starting out or empty-nesters. Options include a luxury master bath, den, three-car garage, four-season room and full basement.

To get to The Ponds of Sycamore from I-88, exit Peace Road north, drive 5.1 miles to Bethany Road, then go east on Bethany Road 1.1 miles to the Ponds of Sycamore sales office; from Route 64, turn left on Somonauk. The community is on the northeast corner of Bethany and Somonauk roads.
