Kaneland High to present 'Our Town'

Kaneland High School will present "Our Town" by Thornton Wilder at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The school is at 47W326 Keslinger Road in Maple Park.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and children. Tickets will be available at the door. Staff and students will be admitted free with school ID.

Wilder wrote the classic play in the 1930s. It is set in the fictional community of Grovers Corners, N.H., and features events between 1901 and 1913. The characters are presented through the character known as the Stage Manager, who is also the narrator.

The cast includes Nayda Reusche as the Stage Manager; Brian Towell as Dr. Gibbs; Trevor Catalano as Joe Crowell; Scott Dykstra as the Milk Man Howie Newsome; Kasey Ostarello as Mrs. Gibbs; Nikki Prusinski as Mrs. Webb and Bryan Renaud as George Gibbs.

Other cast members are Katie Smith as Rebecca Gibbs; Dylan Draper as Wally Webb; Bessie Tockstein as Emily Webb; Miranda Schieve as Professor Willard and Kevin Krasinski as Mr. Webb.

The cast also includes Chloe Bluml as the woman in the balcony; Joey Kenkel as the man in the auditorium; Samantha Vazquez as the lady in the audience; Ben Tennant as the choir director; Megan Shumaker as Mrs. Soames; Ryan Stassel as Constable Bill Warren; Kendall Renaud as Si Crowell; Alejandro Barragan as Sam Craig; Brock Feece as cemetery caretaker Joe Stottard; Cam Phillips as Farmer McCarthy; Morgan Butts as the first dead woman; Charlene Walker as the second dead woman and Chelsea Roberts as the third dead woman.

Samantha Eichelberger, Emily Kenkel, Stephanie Lanute, Katie Rogers, Samantha Wantuch and Catie Del Rasario are the townspeople.
