Burns willing, but opponents aren't
Voters take note -- the 14th Congressional seat in Illinois is up for grabs and what do you notice is happening?
The Democrats in the district are working hard to earn the seat -- that is what's happening. They have already presented the voting public with two official debates and have more scheduled.
What is going on with the Republicans in this district? Nothing, that's what. There has not been a single debate, and there are none on the horizon.
There is one Republican candidate who would like to change that because he has put out an official invitation for the other candidates to come together so the public can hear them -- Mayor Kevin Burns.
The response from the other candidates has been stonewalling.
That is what Chris Lauzen does best. He's a master at gridlock, as demonstrated in Springfield.
Jim Oberweis is too busy paying other people to speak for him.
If the GOP wants to retain the 14th Congressional seat, it is going to have to choose someone who can earn it away from the Democrats. Kevin Burns is the candidate who can do that.
Since the other candidates are clearly too uncomfortable to debate him, you should visit his Web site at www.burns4congress.com to learn more about Burns and how he wants to represent the 14th.
We have a sincere, hard-working candidate who is prepared to work for you for a long time. I urge you to become an informed voter.
