Lake Forest Hospital offering flu shots

Lake Forest Hospital has received the delayed shipments of its FluMist nasal spray and Thimerisol (Mercury-free) supplies and is now able to offer three types of flu vaccine to the public:

• Conventional flu vaccine at a cost of $27 per shot.

• Thimerisol (Mercury-free) vaccine at a cost of $35 per shot.

• FluMist nasal spray vaccine at a cost of $35 per shot.

The hospital is providing flu shots at three locations: Lake Forest Hospital, 660 N. Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest; its Outpatient & Acute Care Center, 1475 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake; and Gurnee Brookside Medical Building, 36100 N. Brookside Drive, Gurnee.

To schedule a flu shot, call (847) 535-8050. Payment will be accepted by personal check or cash. Lake Forest Hospital will bill Medicare (no deductible, no out-of-pocket expenses), so those with a Medicare card should bring it.
