East Dundee

• Two Elgin men were accused of using a fake American Express check at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart, police said. Justin A. Cummings, 26, of 365 Griswold St., Elgin, was charged with six counts of forgery and William L. Selby, 29, of the same address, was charged with one count of forgery, police said. Selby has a 2002 conviction for forgery and was wanted on an unassociated Kane County warrant for the same charge, according to the Kane County state's attorney's office. Both men were held in the Kane County jail on $4,000 bond with Nov. 29 court dates at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Elgin

• An Elgin man was arrested on drug charges at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of South Liberty Street, police said. Joseph L. Scott, 21, of 621 Sherman Ave., was charged with felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after 77.9 grams of marijuana was found, police said. Scott was held in the Kane County jail on $6,000 bond.

• A Chicago man was accused of holding a woman against her will at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of Hill Avenue, police said. Eric M. Morgan, 51, of 2851 W. 71 St., was charged with unlawful restraint and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, police said. Morgan was held in the Kane County jail on $500 bond with a Nov. 29 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Sleepy Hollow

• An apartment was burglarized between 3:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday on the 900 block of Locust Drive. Thirty DVDs, $300 of change in a glass container, five die cast models of cars from the 1950s and an unknown amount of collectible cigarette lighters were stolen.
