Thanks for help from volunteers

Most of us remember a person who helped us cope with the loss of a loved one -- a grandparent, a special teacher, even a stranger who became a friend when we needed one most. Recollections of these caring individuals remind us all of the good within each of us and the caring nature inherent in all of us.

Nowhere is this caring more evident than among the volunteers who serve in hospices across the country and at VNA of Fox Valley Hospice in particular. During November, which is National Hospice and Palliative Care month, there is no better time to thank the volunteers who enrich the lives of those in their care. They bring compassion, caring, friendship and dignity to patients and their families. Their caring has touched so many lives in the community and I consider it an honor to be working with such an incredible group of volunteers.

To Jackie, Jim, Bill, Sandy, Russ, Rosivel, Pete, Lidia, Floyd, Caren, Don, Dee, Mike, Helen, Norma, Mark, Elaine, Rev. Clara, Maxine and Amy -- thank you for all that you do for VNA and for our patients and families.
