Police look for link between burned bodies
CHICAGO -- Chicago police say they're investigating whether two women who were strangled before their burned bodies were found in or near garbage bins on the city's South Side are related.
The Cook County medical examiner's office has ruled both deaths homicides. Neither woman has been identified.
Firefighters found one woman's body in an alley on Monday when they responded to a report of a burning trash bin. Firefighters found the second woman's body two miles away on Wednesday inside a burning trash bin behind an elementary school.
Police say there are similarities between the two cases and they're investigating whether they are connected.
