Deal or no deal on the war costs

In David Caldarola's letter to fence posters Nov. 4, he proposed a deal that Democrats and liberals along with their immediate families excuse themselves from serving in the war on terror. In return, the Republicans will not object to the policies of the Democrats as it pertains to socializing health care, etc., as long as Republicans don't have to pay for it.

Sorry David, we do not have a deal. While you and your Rush Limbaugh buddies want to get excused from paying for all those crazy liberal social bills coming soon, you are not offering the same to liberals. In your deal, you said the Democrats and liberals could excuse themselves from the war on terror but there was nothing in your offer about us not having to pay for the war on terror.

To help this deal get done, we are still willing to pay for anything that the troops in Iraq need or want as long as it can be verified that they actually get it. So if you amend your offer and give Democrats and liberals the option of keeping the skyrocketing portion of their tax dollars that go into the pockets of war profiteers and other people involved with this war who are ripping us off, then I am sure we can make a deal.
