Let's help keep MainStreet going

As a resident of Libertyville for over 35 years, I was very disheartened over the financial plight of the MainStreet Organization. I find it hard to believe that our mayor and board showed indifference to the MainStreet Organization problems. I feel Libertyville with the tax base it has should be able to come up with more financial aid then $10,000 a year.

I feel this organization has certainly put Libertyville on the map, with its diversified programs. Many of the Chicago suburbs are in envy of our downtown. I am sure if you go down the list of frivolous expenditures (i.e. logos on water towers and company cars, etc.) you could find an additional $30,000 to $40,000 that should go to help the MainStreet organization.

I ask you to continue to support MainStreet Libertyville. Let's do the right thing and give the organization the financial means to keep Libertyville on the map.
