Aptakisic claims conference title

The Aptakisic Junior High Soccer Team finished the season with an exciting 1-0 title game win over the Woodlawn Silver team recently in a game played at Twin Groves Jr. High School to win the conference title.

The game was very well played by both teams. Aptakisic scored the only goal of the game on a penalty kick by Rick Lekakh. This, combined with relentless pressure from the offense and solid play from a defense that has allowed only two goals all season, supported by several key saves by goalkeeper Ryan Kolko, sealed the conference title for the Indians.

In other Aptakisic sports news, Aptakisic cross country team member, Jenna Weiner, participated in the state meet in Bloomington/Normal, recently. Jenna turned in an outstanding performance finishing with a time 12:33 over a 2-mile course.
