PADS collecting items for winter benefit auction
On Jan. 19, PADS of Elgin Inc. will hold "The Winter Harvest for the Homeless," an annual dinner, dance contest and auction.
The auction committee is currently collecting items for this year's event, which raises funds to support the operation of the local shelter. Suggested items for donations are tickets to sporting events, themed gift baskets, bar and grill sets, and original artwork or homemade quilts.
Those wishing to donate to the auction may drop gifts off at the PADS shelter at 1730 Berkely St. in Elgin or call (847) 608-9744 to arrange for pick-up. All donations are tax deductible.
This year's event will take place at The Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre in Hoffman Estates. Tickets are $85.
