Story focused on the wrong person
The Oct. 3 article headlined "Woman found shot to death" was completely disrespectful to the victim, Rhoni Reuter. The focus was completely on Ms. Reuter's boyfriend -- "Victim was ex-Bear's pregnant girlfriend" -- instead of Ms. Reuter. His name is mentioned twice in the article before hers is even mentioned. Did Ms. Reuter have a job, a family and friends?
What were her interests, her passions; where did she grow up? Apparently neither the reporter nor his editor, thought any of this information was worth mentioning, certainly not as important as mentioning that Shaun Gayle is assisting the police, he is not a suspect and that he played 12 seasons in the NFL.
Why didn't you just run the story in the sports section and call it a day?
