Village Center ready to be up and running
Retail stores are set to open Nov. 10 and the first residents are moving in this winter at Burr Ridge Village Center, a 20-acre mixed-use development in west-suburban Burr Ridge that recently surpassed the 75-percent sold mark.
Located at Burr Ridge Parkway and County Line Road, near I-55, Burr Ridge Village Center offers upscale condominiums in a town-center setting that also includes more than 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and 37,000 square feet of office space.
Condominiums at Burr Ridge Village Center measure from 1,491 to 4,033 square feet and include two to four bedrooms, two to 3½ baths and a den, per plan. Homes are base-priced from the $460,000s to $1.6 million. All remaining residences include two indoor, heated, underground parking spaces.
While the community's residential component is more than 75-percent sold, buyers who purchase now can still choose from a selection of floor plans. Among the available homes are estate condominium designs ranging from two-bedroom-plus-den plans to four-bedroom homes with more than 4,000 square feet of living space.
The estate condominiums offer an easy transition to condominium living for buyers coming from an upscale single-family home. They offer maintenance-free living with some of the features of a single-family home.
For example, all three- and four-bedroom floor plans have separate living, dining and family rooms and a breakfast area off the kitchen. Several plans feature guest suites, with private baths attached to secondary bedrooms. Likewise, all two-bedroom homes have a den, which gives buyers a dedicated home office and a guest room.
Plans include a full laundry room, instead of a laundry closet, in every residence. Select floor plans also offer special features, such as the media room in Plans J and K. These rooms are windowless to emulate a theater environment and are configured for theater-style seating with one wall devoted to a large-screen television or projection screen.
Additionally, all estate condominiums have private balconies or terraces, many of which overlook the community's village green. In Plan D, an 1,870-square-foot home with two bedrooms, a den and two baths, a balcony off the living room measures 16 feet by 9 feet and has views of the village green's fountain and garden. Plan L, a 4,033-square-foot home with four bedrooms, a den and 3½ baths, features a terrace measuring more than 33 feet by 13 feet.
Other features in every estate condominium include walk-in closets; 10-foot ceilings; hardwood flooring in the kitchen and select living areas; and energy-efficient, radiant in-floor heating. Kitchens feature stainless steel appliances, Brookhaven by WoodMode® cabinetry, 1¼-inch granite countertops and a dual-bowl undermount sink. Master baths have raised limestone vanity countertops with two undermount sinks and a separate shower and corner soaking tub, per plan.
