License and reason restored in Antioch

Finally the voice of reason has prevailed in favor of Antioch. The state of Illinois has overturned the Antioch liquor ruling suspending Bob McCarty's license, thus allowing him to both retain his liquor license in the Double Eagle and remain on the Antioch village board.

It makes me wonder if the four trustees who tried so hard to have his license revoked were doing it because the Double Eagle is building a banquet hall in Antioch.

Could it be because the family of their mentor has a banquet hall in a neighboring town? Food for thought "pun intended."
