Faith Christian has 15-1 mark

The Faith Christian Warriors have compiled 15 wins against one loss to tip off the fall junior high season.

The Warriors opened with wins over the seventh- and eighth-grade teams from Herget Middle School in Aurora. The Warriors also have four wins against Aurora Christian and a pair of victories over Elgin Academy, Calvary Christian, Fox River Country Day and Harvest Christian. Faith beat Washington Middle School in the two teams' first match before falling to Washington's eighth-grade squad 21-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Eighth-graders Libby Harvey, Ally Ping and Jordyn Hoepner are joined on the eighth-grade team by seventh-graders Christine Slade, Danielle Ford, Kharis Louis, Emily Anderson and Shannon Mooney. The five seventh-graders lead the seventh-grade squad with sixth-graders Maddie Will and Crystal Okpisz and fifth-grader Chloe Rojas, while fifth-graders Nicoletta Calabrese, Michaela Ping, Samantha Krill, Gracie Smuk, Lauren Taylor, Melody Fisher-Lewek, Amie Randall and Larissa Catalano have also contributed to the team's season.
