U.S. would be lost sans belief in God

I don't get it. On the opinion page it says "Our aim: to fear God, tell the truth and make money." If that is so, then why is the featured article on the Sept. 20 front-page: "Atheist's daughter takes own stand at school -- Buffalo Grove freshman gets 'God Bless America' off homecoming list"?

My understanding of an atheist is someone who doesn't believe in God, so why is this one child allowed to have her way? If God didn't "bless America" as our original forefathers who wrote the Constitution invoked, we would be a lost nation.

I'm not an outgoing person either, but "In God we need to trust!"

God will not be banned by people who don't believe in him.
