Preserves need clean-up work
If Todd Stroger wants more people "to visit and discover the best of what nature has to offer" in Cook County's Forest Preserves, he would be wiser to spend the $460,000 intended for ads and billboards to do some major clean-up.
Blocked by fallen trees, the deeply rutted trails are overgrown messes that are a total disgrace and dangerous to navigate.
Perhaps Mr. Stroger should visit the Lake County Forest Preserves to see what "wonderful ecological treasures" are supposed to look like.
