Weary of 'for the children' argument
It wasn't enough that Congress was swamped with phone calls and e-mails when they tried to force the last immigration farce on us. Sen. Dick Durbin has now reached back into the old Democratic play book and pulled out their second-most-used play card: "It's for the children".
The sad thing is, the empty headed bleeding hearts who are the majority in this country now usually buy into this hook, line and sinker. Please, people, there was a reason the voting age was originally 21; children are not supposed to dictate public policy. Remember the days when children were to be seen and not heard? We were far better off. That is, except for the pharmaceutical companies that couldn't sell Prozac to adults and Ritalin to the children.
