Elgin Harvest Market to move indoors

Elgin's Harvest Market is moving indoors.

Downtown Neighborhood Association officials say they plan to extend the market's season this year by moving it inside the Gasthaus Zur Linde restaurant on Thursdays from now until Dec. 20.

The market will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

"With such a great customer base here in downtown Elgin, the vendors are planning on serving the Elgin community up until the holidays to serve your daily and seasonal meals needs," Downtown Neighborhood Association officials said in a prepared statement.

The Harvest Market offers farmers and others a place to peddle their various natural products.

Some of the vendors that will be moving indoors are Gloria's Gourmet Meats, the Breadsmith and Paw Barkery.

Gasthaus Zur Linde is at 15 N. Grove Ave., around the corner from the Harvest Market's outdoor location.
