Crisis center to honor its Partners for Peace

The 17th annual Partners in Peace Breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. Friday at the Elgin Country Club, off Weld Road, near Route 20, Elgin.

The breakfast is an opportunity for the Community Crisis Center to honor individuals and groups in the community who, in their professional capacity, provide outstanding services to victims of domestic violence.

This year, the center will be offering Partner in Peace Awards to the 16th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Patricia Piper Golden; legislative community liaison Rita Wiley; Roosevelt University professor emeritus Vincent Gambino; the Hanover Park Police Department; and the Ecker Center for Mental Health.
