Parent/child Halloween craft night: A parent/child Halloween craft night will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday for ages 5 to 10 with adult. Make special keepsakes and decorations to celebrate the holiday.
Featured will be a pumpkin, owl pin, and mummy The fee is $25 ($35 nonresident) per pair.
New triathlon: The LIFECENTER Health and Fitness Club and Direct Fitness Solutions present an indoor sprint triathlon Saturday, featuring a 10-minute swim, 15-minute bike ride, and 15-minute run.
Waves start every 20 minutes, beginning at 7 a.m. With six participants per wave and eight waves total, space will be limited.
Winners will be determined by the total distance covered. Awards will be given to the overall male and female, and medals given for first and second place in each age group.
Fall specials at Apple Orchard:ŒThe Apple Orchard Golf Course is offering fall specials to golfers looking to get in a few extra rounds before the end of the season. The following specials are not valid with any other offers, season passes or punch cards:
• Replay Weekends -- After 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, golfers pay the replay rate. Regular replay rates apply. Offer good through Sunday.
• 18 Holes Tuesdays and Thursdays -- Golfers may play 18 holes for one reduced priced greens fee. The rate is $13.50 ($17.50 nonresident). Offer good through Oct. 30.
• Twilight Rates -- Discount rates start at 5:30 p.m. when earlier sunsets may keep golfers from completing a round. Rate is $6.75 ($8.75 nonresident). Offer good through Oct. 30.
Apple Orchard Golf Course reserves the right to change or cancel fall specials at anytime.
Wine tasting: A wine tasting will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Bartlett Community Center Oak Room, 700 S. Bartlett Road.
Experience wines from a variety of regions. Open to ages 21 and up. The fee is $15 ($25 nonresident) per pair. In-person registration is required. Program ID #30512-01.
Community survey: The Bartlett Park District has teamed up with the University of Illinois to provide a community survey, used to collect information on what residents would like to see from the park district in the future.
Two thousand households were selected at random and received the survey around Oct. 12. If selected for input, complete the survey and return it as designated on the list of instructions.
Appear in the winter brochure: Send in favorite photos from a program, park, special event or activity for the chance to appear in the upcoming winter brochure. Digital photos should be of high resolution, and files can be up to 4MB.

For hard copies, send duplicate copies to the same address. Do not send original photos. Participants submitting photos authorize the park district to utilize the material for promotional materials including brochures, flyers, Web site or other pieces.
Photos received become the property of the Bartlett Park District and will be used only by the Bartlett Park District for promotional purposes and will not be shared with any other organization without the written consent of the photographer.
Permission is required from photo subjects, and in the case of minors, participants must be the parent, guardian, or have permission from said person to send in the photo.
