Resale shop needs volunteers
Little Friends' Serendipity Resale Shop at 12 W. Jefferson Ave. in downtown Naperville is seeking volunteers.
Proceeds from the volunteer-run shop benefit programs and services provided by Little Friends, a nonprofit group serving children and adults with developmental, emotional or behavioral disabilities.
Volunteers at the resale shop are responsible for sorting and tagging donations and arranging merchandise displays. Some also serve as cashiers. Volunteers must be able to walk up and down stairs while carrying merchandise.
A number of shifts are available. Volunteers in the shop's clothing and linen departments are needed from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays or Thursdays. Volunteers in the household department are needed from 9 a.m. to noon one day each week. Cashiers are needed to work four-hour shifts one day a week.
The shop also is looking for donations of men's, women's and children's clothing of all sizes. Donated clothing should be in excellent condition.
The shop also needs donations of home decorating items, such as lamps, dishes and clocks. Other household items, jewelry and collectibles are always welcome.
Donations may be brought to the shop anytime during its regular hours. Donations also may be brought between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays to the Little Friends administration building, 140 N. Wright St.
The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays; and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
