Picnic to benefit Huntley girl diagnosed with brain tumor

The Friends of Princess Teagan will hold a "Picnic for a Princess" from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at Jewel Food Store, 150 E. Main St., Barrington.

Two-year-old Teagan of Huntley was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May. Her parents, South Barrington police officer Bryant Haniszewski and his wife, Carley, have been at Children's Memorial Hospital, by Teagan's side, since that day in May. As Teagan and her family battle this disease, the medical bills are mounting.

The picnic will include grilled brats, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, chips, pop, water and more.

There also will be children's games, and princess tiaras for sale.

One hundred percent of the donations will be given directly to the family. Donations also are being accepted at any Harris Bank in the Princess Teagan Fund.
