Led Zeppelin finally goes digital

Long holdouts to the digital era, the surviving members of Led Zeppelin have finally conceded to have their music available to digital retailers. Starting Nov. 13, the band's entire catalog plus a new best-of, two-CD collection titled "Mothership" will be available online. "We are pleased that the complete Led Zeppelin catalog will now be available digitally," said guitarist Jimmy Page. "The addition of the digital option will better enable fans to obtain our music in whichever manner that they prefer."

Also, the band is reuniting for a one-off concert in honor of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun on Nov. 26 in London.

Jeff Buckley tribute

Make your reservations now for the annual tribute to songwriter Jeff Buckley, who performed at Wrigleyville's Uncommon Ground in 1994. Now in its 10th year, the concert will feature songwriters from all over the world performing Buckley songs plus a three-course meal. The event is Nov. 16-17, but it's always a sellout so reservations are recommended. It's at 3800 N. Clark St. Call (773) 929-3680.

Experimental piano

Pianist Jeff Abell will perform a free concert of minimalist piano works by John Cage, Morton Feldman, Terry Jennings and Peter Garland as well as pieces by composers associated with the Fluxus movement of the 1960s that once included Yoko Ono. The program, titled "Boredom & Danger" is part of the annual Sound Field Festival. Visit soundfield.org. It's at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Columbia College Concert Hall, 1014 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago. Call (312) 344-7270.
