Wisconsin man killed in Mundelein
A 32-year-old Kenosha man was killed after being struck by a semitrailer around 6:10 a.m. Tuesday in Mundelein.
Mundelein police and fire departments and the Lake County Coroner's Office responded to the call to the parking lot of Con-way Central Express, a trucking company located at 957 Tower Road, Mundelein.
The victim, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck, a 2006 Sterling semitrailer, was traveling westbound through the parking lot. It is owned by Con-Way Freight Inc. out of Fort Wayne, Ind.
The driver has not been charged or ticketed. There was no obvious indication that alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor, police said.
Police and members of the Major Crash Assistance Team are still investigating the crash.
