Too bad church has left Batavia

It is sad to see that Batavia no longer has an American Baptist Church after being in the city for over 170 years. Just think of the impact the people from it have made on the city, from the first members, including the Wilsons, to former Mayor McClurg, to the former Citizens of the Year plus the thousands of others.

How fortunate that we have two new churches in Batavia that can make an impact that the Baptists have left. Also, maybe if the city uses good judgment, it could rent or sell this historic building to a church that wants it.
