Police: Angry wife put kids in harm's way

A St. Charles woman is charged with reckless driving and endangering the life of her children after police say she repeatedly rammed a moving vehicle driven by her husband while she had her 2- and 4-year-old kids in tow.

Monica M. Allen, 35, of 2025 Wessel Court, was arrested at 1:36 p.m. Sunday after the incident on the 1100 block of Walnut Street.

According to police, Allen was upset with her husband for going fishing and used her vehicle to repeatedly ram the one he was driving, despite having children in the vehicle with her. No one was hurt.

Allen was charged with reckless driving, endangering the life of a child and following too closely.

Allen was released from police custody after posting $100 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 1.
