Thanks for help on village event

When the Sugar Grove village board asked me to work with a committee to plan the 50th anniversary event I was terrified. I have never before worked on the planning of an event of this magnitude. Where to start, what to do, how to do, when to do it and how, how and how. So many questions were spinning around in my thoughts.

I forgot but was soon reminded that the people I work with, my co-workers are the best, they are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and most of all supportive. I soon also discovered that those who volunteered to sit on the 50th anniversary committee were dedicated, knowledgeable, supportive and the knuckle down and get the job done kind of people.

Thank you co-workers and committee members: Janet Backus, Sheri Baum, Robert Carroll, Tina Cella, Linda Ebinger, Bobbi Erdman, Pat Graceffa, Marianne Mc Nulty, Donald and Theresa Meisinger, Kadie O'Connor, Karen Pritchard and Gerald Swatek.

Additionally, my thanks to the village board for giving me this opportunity. Without their desire to celebrate Sugar Grove's incorporation and their faith in me I would never have had the chance to learn, grow and make new friends. I have had the pleasure of working for the Village of Sugar Grove since October of 1994 and I continue to enjoy my job.

Lastly, I thank the residents of the Sugar Grove community. Sugar Grove's population has grown considerably and thankfully Sugar Grove has added more caring, giving, enjoyable people to the community. I had a wonderful time celebrating the 50th with you. It has been a pleasure working for you and I look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.
