Huntley sets garbage dates
Huntley's contract with a single waste hauler, Marengo Disposal, will start March 1, two months later than planned. The first villagewide pickup will be March 3. The later start date will give Marengo enough time to stock up on the 12,000 garbage and recycling toters it will distribute to residents, village officials said. Marengo will start delivering toters to residents on Feb. 18. Residents 55 and older can sign up for the senior discount starting Jan. 8. Marengo will replace the four residential waste haulers now licensed in the village. For more information, call (847) 669-9600.
