Limbaugh finally held accountable

Rush Limbaugh has finally been held accountable for a statement made on his talk show; namely, that the military who have been critical of the handling of the war in Iraq were "phony soldiers." He claims the quote was taken out of context and that he was speaking only of one impostor who did not actually serve in the military.

In reality, though, Limbaugh created this brouhaha by labeling all military critical of our Iraqi policy as "phony soldiers."

Limbaugh's outlandish statements are part and parcel of his talk show. For example, on the morning after Barack Obama made his electrifying speech at the Democratic National Convention; he labeled Mr. Obama as being to the left of Mao, the Chinese Communist leader. He stayed on this theme soon after, on another program, stating that Obama had voted for Marxist legislation as an Illinois State Senator.
