• Andrew C. Adair of Buffalo Grove, a student in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University, was named to the 2006-07 spring quarter dean's list of the academic year. To qualify, students must have a grade point average of at least 3.70/4.0.
• Elonna R. Pervos of Buffalo Grove, a student in the School of Communication at Northwestern University, Evanston, was named to the dean's list for the 2006-07 spring quarter. To qualify, students must attain a grade point average of at least 3.75/4.00.
• Matt Benedetto, Wheeling, graduated May 19 from Taylor University's Upland campus in Indiana with a bachelor's degree in mathematics education. He is a Wheeling High School graduate.
• Stuart D. Federman, son of Harry and Judy Federman of Wheeling received a doctor of pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy at the May 19 at the commencement ceremony. Dr. Federman is a 2001 graduate of Wheeling High School.
• Vikram R. Nandhan of Buffalo Grove, a graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School, Lincolnshire, is the recipient of a National Merit Siemens Corporation Scholarship. He plans to pursue an education in the field of medicine. Siemens produces and markets electrical and electronic systems, instruments, and components for medicine, science and industry. Funded through the Siemens Foundation, the scholarship program supports higher education, to honor exceptionally talented high school students, and aid as many as possible in obtaining a college education.
• Kristina Stoklosa of Wheeling is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from The Baxter International Foundation which awards scholarships to outstanding students who intend to enroll at a college, university or vocational-technical school. Students may apply to the program if a parent is employed for a minimum of three years Baxter International Inc. scholarship recipients selected competitively on the basis of academic records and personal achievements.
