The concert will take place on the center's patio, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled. The patio doors open at 7 p.m.

The Reunion Jazz Orchestra has performed at the Senior Center for past two years and is back by popular demand. All members of the RJO share a unique background. Every member is a "son of Notre Dame" -- either from Notre Dame High School in Niles or from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. RJO has as authentic a swing as you'll find anywhere, but the group also plays ballads, progressive, some Latin, and some powerful big-band rock.

The concert is free and no reservations or tickets are needed. It is open to the public. For more information, call (847) 253-5532.

Laughter and Meditation Sessions: Led by certified laughter leader and certified laughter yoga leader Om Johari, the Laughter Club meets at the Arlington Heights Senior Center the second and fourth Monday of every month from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Laughter Club sessions are free and open to newcomers at any time. No reservations are needed. Research shows that laughter can: strengthen the immune system; improve breathing, arterial blood flow, digestion and sleep; adjust blood pressure and blood sugar; relax muscles; burn calories; and reduce pain.

Meditation sessions, also conducted by Johari, are conducted from 4:30 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday throughout the year. In addition, sessions are offered from 3 to 4:30 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of the month. Meditation sessions are free and no reservations are needed. For more information, call the Senior Center at (847) 253-5532.
