Donate sweet treats for troops in Afghanistan

Show your support for our armed forces by donating treats for the troops.

The Missions Ministry Group of Barrington United Methodist Church is collecting gum, candy and other small items to send to the troops in Afghanistan.

We are especially cognizant of the need for such gifts at this time due to the tremendous losses suffered by the 864th engineers when a suicide bomber killed three U.S. soldiers, all family men, and wounded six others.

BUMC member Jim De Lapp is part of this deployment.

Deposit your gifts in the containers in the church's narthex on Sunday. For details, call George Gill at (847) 778-5475.

Barrington United Methodist is at 98 Algonquin Road, at Route 59, in Barrington. For details, call (847) 836-5540 or visit www.barringtonumc.com.
