• Matthew J. Simon, 22, of 1115 Essex Court, Apt. B, was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle after he was arrested at 518 Forest Ave. at 2:43 a.m. Monday, according to a police report.

Geneva

• Someone took the driver's-side rocker panel from a black 2005 Chrysler 300 between 10 p.m. Sept. 13 and 6 a.m. Friday on Simpson Street.

• Curt V. Cummings, 41, of 700 W. Main St., St. Charles, was charged with retail theft Friday. He's accused of taking a hammer valued at $15 from Ace Hardware, 617 W. State St., at 11:19 a.m. Cummings posted $100 bond and has an Oct. 9 court date.

Kane County

• Dharius T. Dungey, 17, of Carpentersville, was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:20 p.m. Sept. 13 on Hickory Court in Dundee Township.

• A resident in the 6N000 block of Crane Road in St. Charles Township reported that a Honda generator worth $2,000 was stolen from the property sometime between noon Sunday and 5 p.m. Monday.

• About $900 worth of electronic equipment was reported stolen from an unlocked 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck on Longview Street in St. Charles Township between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:40 a.m. Monday. Losses included two phones.

• About $1,410 worth of electronic equipment was reported stolen from a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban on Longview Street in St. Charles Township sometime between 9:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:40 a.m. Monday. Losses included a GPS tracker and a cell phone charging cord.

• Marco A. Morales-Estrada, 32, of North Union Street in Aurora, was cited for driving with a suspended license about 3:41 p.m. Tuesday near New York and Smith streets in Aurora Township.

• Nadir Castro-Munoz, 28, of Harrison Street in Carpentersville, was cited for driving without a valid driver's license at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday near Route 25 and Marion Avenue in Dundee Township.
