Brett Tomko scattered 4 singles in 6 innings, Mike Cameron hit a 2-run homer and San Diego beat visiting San Francisco to pull within 2 games of NL West-leading Arizona. San Diego maintained a 1½-game lead in the wild-card race over Philadelphia and the Los Angeles Dodgers. San Francisco's Barry Bonds left the game in the second inning with a strained right big toe.
