Lions Club to hold annual steer roast

The Grayslake Lions Club will hold its 44th Annual Steer Roast from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 9 at Grayslake Middle School. Carry-outs will also be available.

Along with the beef, the Lions will serve corn, tomatoes, potatoes and pie. The roast is all-you-can-eat. Tickets are $9 for ages 12 to 61, $7 for seniors age 62 and up and $4 for ages 5 to 11.

The roasting of the steer will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 and will continue throughout the night.

There will be a 50/50 raffle at the event, along with free sight and hearing screenings.

The Grayslake Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. every second Tuesday of the month on the second floor at The Whitney Street Restaurant, 30 N. Whitney St., Grayslake.
