Mammogram Special: The Women's Center of Condell Medical Center is offering a "back-to-school" mammogram special in September. Each participating woman's name will be entered in a drawing to win a one-year membership to the Condell Centre Club of her choice -- in Libertyville or Gurnee. The mammogram must be taken during September. The drawing will take place on Oct. 1 and the winner will be notified by phone. Schedule a mammogram by calling (847) 990-5000.
The American Cancer Society suggests that women should have a baseline mammogram between the ages of 35 and 39 years old, and sooner if their physician advises it based on family history. Annual mammograms are recommended for women ages 40 years and older. Condell Medical Center offers screening mammograms at Condell Medical Center's Women's Imaging Center in Libertyville, or at Condell Imaging Center, 1435 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee.
