Briefs: Duchossois buys Heath Zenith

ELMHURST -- Duchossois Industries Inc. said Wednesday it has acquired DESA's Heath Zenith division in Bowling Green, Ken., as a part of its ongoing global growth initiative. The acquisition will expand the company's position in the consumer products market and complement its ownership of The Chamberlain Group Inc., a supplier of access control products. Terms were not disclosed. Heath Zenith offers specialty electrical products sold in retail outlets worldwide.

Inland Real Estate sells 10 acres

OAK BROOK -- The Yorkville office of Inland Real Estate Sales Inc. said it has brokered the sale of almost 10 acres of land in Sandwich, Ill., for $4 million. It will be used to build Waves of Fun, a 60,000-square-foot indoor water park, part of Sandwich Commons, a large retail, convention and hotel center. The five-story Waves of Fun Inc. resort complex could accommodate 1,500 patrons and will house attractions, including a 50-foot water slide.
