Judge: Man insane, not guilty in mother's death

MARION -- A Marion man apparently won't be serving any prison time in the stabbing death of his housemate.

A Williamson County judge has found 25-year-old James Ichard not guilty of murder by reason of insanity. That means he will spend time in treatment as determined by an evaluation.

Ichard has been getting treatment for mental illness at the Alton Mental Health Center.

Authorities accused Ichard of stabbing 42-year-old Tina Marie King to death in September 2007 in her Marion home. She died at a hospital shortly after police found her wounded in her house.
