• Police suspect someone shot out the rear window of a Chevy pickup truck with a pellet gun Friday morning. The 40-year-old man who owns the truck said he parked the vehicle on the 900 block of Baltrusol Drive around 6 p.m. Thursday. At 7 a.m. Friday, he noticed his rear window had been shattered. Police were unable to find the object that smashed the window.
• Four exhaust systems were stolen from a body shop on the 300 block of Willard Avenue Thursday, police said. The thief cut through a chain-link fence to access the property.
• A driver was hit with a litany of charges and citations Thursday when he supplied police with a false name on a traffic stop, police said. The man, 26-year-old Leandre K. Dabney of the 200 block of Center Street, was charged with felony obstruction of justice and criminal trespass. Dabney was also cited for driving with a suspended license and suspended registration. He admitted he was on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections, police said. Dabney was unable to post $300 bond and was taken to the Kane County jail Friday morning, police said. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 23.
