First Congregational Church of Dundee plans Christmas Eve services

First Congregational Church of Dundee will celebrate Christmas Eve with three services at 7, 9 and 11 p.m. Children and adults will enjoy an exciting interactive, family service at 7 p.m. and witness a re-enactment of the events leading up to the birth of Jesus at "A Night in Bethlehem." After visiting the Holy Family in the Nativity, families will have a chance to experience a night in the Village of Bethlehem. Hear festive music, wander through the bakery and candy shop, create fun projects in the marketplace shops and meet shepherds who can't wait to share a remarkable story. See, touch, feel and smell what life was like during this miraculous time.

Traditional candlelight services will be held at 9 and 11 p.m. Handbell music will be rung by TEMPOS, high school bell choir directed by Chad Coe, during the 9 p.m. worship.

At 11 p.m., vocal music will be provided by the Chancel Choir, adult vocal choir directed by Robert Blazek with Linda Gilmore, accompanist; and Adult Handbell Ensemble will ring. The Christmas messages will be delivered by the Rev. Donald Longbottom, interim senior pastor.

"The Church on the Hill" is at 900 S. Eighth St. (Route 31 and Angle Tarn), West Dundee. For details, call First Congregational Church of Dundee at (847) 426-2161 ext. 210 or visit www.fccdundee.com.
