Durbin is wrong about George Ryan

You, Senator Durbin, are a coward.

Clearly you made up your mind regarding commuting George Ryan's sentence before the election. But you did not publicly address your decision then because you knew it would very likely effect the election results negatively.

George Ryan has never expressed remorse for his actions!

Yes, I feel badly for his wife. However, there are thousands, if not millions of families suffering because their loved ones are in prison.

That is not a reason to release someone who believes he does not believe he has done anything wrong. Public opinion is overwhelmingly against any commutation or pardon of George Ryan. It is obvious you do not represent the taxpayers of the state of Illinois.

Shame on you.
