Maybe the people got it right this time
I have rarely felt compelled to respond to any such letters in Fence Post, but after reading a recent letter by Mr. George Kocan (Obama win symbol of skulduggery, Nov. 26, 2008), all I can say is that I feel real sorry for the way you perceive of our newly elected President. Maybe, just maybe, this country has finally elected someone who can connect with average Americans, the middle class which are virtually non-existant these days, and can actually do something to help us get through the disastrous position that we are now in.
Our country has become the laughing stock of the world thanks to the present and outgoing administration. Mr. Kocan, You're living in a bubble.
It's time you get out and see that this wonderful country of ours has finally learned to elect someone based on his merit and integrity and not on the color of their skin.
