'20/20' plans segment on Illinois cop

BLOOMINGTON -- ABC News' "20/20" will include a segment Friday on a case in which a central Illinois police sergeant was convicted of raping two women.

A "20/20" film crew attended parts of the trial of former Bloomington police Sgt. Jeff Pelo, including his August sentencing.

Pelo is serving 440 years in prison after he was convicted of raping the women and stalking a fifth, all between 2002 and 2006. He was arrested outside the home of one of the women in June 2006.

Pelo is serving his sentence at the Stateville Correctional Center in Joliet. He plans to appeal his conviction.

The TV show airs at 9 p.m. Friday.
