Ives, Breen won't play in Illinois
When are the Republicans in Illinois ever going to learn that you cannot run extreme right-wingers for state offices like governor and ever win? Jeanne Ives and Peter Breen should be ashamed of themselves for bashing Rauner for his socially moderate views.
Yes, you can be to the right of Attila the Hun and win in places like Alabama, but that will never play in Illinois.
I am generally a Democrat but voted for Rauner in the last election because he is a fiscal conservative and social moderate. And guess what? He won.
If the GOP keeps putting up candidates like Breen and Ives, we know what we get - 30 more years of Michael Madigan and his ilk, who have completely ruined the state of Illinois.
