Pickup truck collision near Joliet kills 3

Authorities say three people have died after a head-on collision between two pickup trucks near New Lenox.

Illinois State Police Sgt. Martez Malone says one driver appears to have lost control, possibly because of icy road conditions, and hit the other.

The Will County coroner's office has identified the victims as a New Lenox couple, 58-year-old Wayne Price and his 59-year-old wife, Bernice Price.

A retired Will County Sheriff's officer from Joliet, 67-year-old Peter Haas, also died.

The accident near the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Cherry Hill Road is still under investigation.
