Governor isn't the only problem
The Illinois Legislature made a clear statement that it is business as usual; the political sandbox is for their own play and the citizens of Illinois remain unrepresented. The governor has demonstrated he is not someone an Illinoisan can trust or respect.
The voters expect those who are elected to work on state business. The governor's tapes indicate he is not working for the electorate. He should just go.
The legislature should follow suit and quit as well. Rather than work together, our representatives have chosen to return to accusing the other party and begin the argument of how should we; rather than what should we do for the people who voted for us.
The Illinois legislature can't agree on a budget, can't agree on education funding, can't agree on ethics. The Illinois Legislature can't even agree to stand together and first stop the governmental hemorrhaging before political posturing.
Perhaps the governor is not the only elected official that should just go.
