No revolt, but a mass migration
Here we go again. Illinois is without a budget for the second year in a row. The Democratic-led legislature now has $7 billion in unpaid bills.
Illinois also has the nation's lowest credit rating and highest unemployment rate. CPS, with over 392,000 students, will not open in the fall without a budget or supplemental education appropriation.
Hang on to your wallets, Illinois taxpayers. Suburbanites and down-staters will pay the price once again for irresponsible Chicago area voters who continue to fail to hold their elected officials accountable. Just as many of them remain unaccountable for their children's education. Where is teacher union accountability?
History tells us Madiganistan's Democratic dictatorship, fueled by union cronyism and the public's outcry to get kids back in school will likely prevail again. The circle of poverty will continue and grow engulfing not only the city kids of Chicago but also hard working families and businesses through out Illinois.
Will there be a revolt? Not likely. Will there be a mass migration out of state? More likely.
Please prove me wrong.
