Board should set example for village
Our village board should be ashamed of themselves. We are in the middle of a recession and they decide to purchase Toyota Prius cars for the village.
Not only are these automobiles expensive, the profit from these cars does not stay in the USA. How can they look their neighbors in the eye? We have had two local car dealers close their doors recently, Joe Mitchell Buick GMC and Lattof Chevrolet.
There are people in my neighborhood who worked at these dealerships. The mayor should ask these people what they think about being (environmentally responsible) right now.
I find it hard to believe the board could not find a Ford, Chrysler or Chevrolet that would fit the bill. Buy American, the job you save may be your own.
