Attorney celebrates 50 years of practice

BUFFALO GROVE - The Illinois State Bar Association named Alan D. Kovitz a Senior Counselor, celebrating his 50 years of practice. Kovitz, a principal with Buffalo Grove-based Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit, also celebrated the 25th anniversary of his firm. Kovitz began practicing law in 1958, after earning his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law, at the law firm Rosenblum, Lipnick & Joseph. In the early 1960s Kovitz, along with several others, formed their own law practice. Today, Kovitz concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, financing, loan transactions, corporate law and estate planning.
